    Dr. Xinming Li, chief physician of Cardiovascular Department of Shanghai East Hospital, is a specialist in the care of patients with coronary heart disease, hypertension, hyperlipidemia and thromboembolic disease. He also is an expert in interventional therapy for coronary heart disease, valvular heart disease, congenital heart disease and renal artery stenosis, in particular for acute myocardial infarction and mitral stenosis. His research program investigates imaging evaluation and interventional therapy of coronary heart disease and valvular heart disease. He has produced over 100 papers on the subject in medical journals. He is the recipient of “special allowance expert” from the State Council and has been granted “National Labor Day Medalist”.

    Li graduated from Wuhan University and furthered his study in Germany. His memberships in professional organization include Chinese Medical Association Cardiovascular Disease Committee, Chinese Medical Association Interventional cardiology committee and Chinese Society of Biomedical Engineering Association Cardiac Pacing and Electrophysiology Committee. He served on the board of directors for International Journal of Cardiovascular Disease, Chinese Medical Journal, Chinese Journal of cardiovascular disease, Chinese Journal of interventional cardiology, Chinese Journal of Hypertension, Chinese Circulation Journal and Chinese Journal of Practical Internal Medicine.
